Below I will make a list of common services that are available to parents. Some of these services you will have to go through, or might be best to ask your support coordinator, your support coordinator to receive and some will be offered through the community. I will make the ones you have to go through your support coordinator with (SC) and the community based ones with (CB).
- (SC) Respite, Habilitation and attendance care
- (SC) Therapy services; Occupational, Speech, Physical
- (SC) Transportation. The following link may help, but it maybe easiest to ask your support coordinator. https://www.azdes.gov/main.aspx?menu=8&id=70
- (CB) Activities; tennis, dances, basketball, bowling, theater, community outings. This link is specifically for the city of surprise Arizona. Though I believe anyone can go. I also know Peoria and Phoenix also have similar programs. http://www.surpriseaz.gov/index.aspx?nid=1459
